This module examines who makes farm management decisions and the degree of involvement of different household members.
Contribution to resilience
Decision-making capacity within households reflects the way choices are made to manage resources. When decisions are shared between household members, particularly between men and women, this promotes more effective use of available knowledge, priorities and capacities. This module also makes it possible to assess gender dynamics and the degree of women's empowerment, by analyzing their actual involvement in decisions linked to agricultural activities. Equality in decision-making is not only beneficial for resilience, but is also a goal in itself for gender equality.
