Ghana meets MDG- 1 goal

Based on FAO’s most recent estimates, the prevalence of undernourishment in Ghana has dropped from 40.5% in 1990-92, to less than 5% in 2010-12 and thus the country has achieved the MDG-1 hunger target. The number of undernourished people in the country has dropped from 6.2 million in 1990-92 to 801 thousand in 2010-12 and thus the country has also achieved the WFS target.
