Expert Forum for producers and users of climate change-related statistics

3 - 5 October 2017, Rome, Italy

FAO hosts the Expert Forum of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) for producers and users of climate change-related statistics on 3-5 October 2017.

The meeting will discuss how to develop official statistics to respond to the data reporting requirements arising from global agreements. The meeting will share experience on developing official statistics for climate reporting, focusing this year especially on the underlying data and accounts on agriculture, forestry and land use. A new FAOSTAT domain on Temperature Change, issued from the collaboration between the FAO Statistics Division and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies will be officially launched during the Expert Forum.
