AMR Focus Areas

• Development of AMR/AMU surveillance under a One Health approach, including food animal, pet animal, environment, etc.
• Development of guidelines for alternatives to antimicrobials from local natural plants in different food and agriculture sectors
• Development of diagnostics (technology and product) for zoonotic pathogen and AMR
• Development of guidelines and programs for monitoring the impacts of prudent antimicrobial use
• Provision of technical support on antimicrobial drug quality control and marketing chain study
• Provision of technical support on the development and implementation of national residue testing and surveillance program in foods of animal origin

Key Activities

• Providing support in developing laboratory capacity for AMR surveillance (including AST, WGS, metagenomics, and bioinformatics)
• Providing support in guidelines on the surveillance of AMR under a One Health approach
• Providing and organizing seminars, trainings and workshops related to AMR and AMU based on One Health approach
• Performing research on the emergence and transmission of AMR based on a One Health approach
• Developing guidelines to identify the alternatives to antimicrobials from local natural plants and other resources
