The Transformative Power of Aquatic Value Chains

22/10/2026

The FISH4ACP and NAVAC Project Management Unit of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Division (NFI) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is pleased to invite you to its event “The transformative power of aquatic value chains”.

The event will showcase the good practices and lessons learned from FISH4ACP, an EU‑funded project, as well as New Aquatic Value Chains (NAVAC), a Global Gateway initiative, highlighting both projects’ contributions to advancing sustainable, inclusive, and bankable fisheries and aquaculture value chains.

FISH4ACP is implemented with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and in partnership with the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), while NAVAC is working on food value chains in vulnerable regions, in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) research capacity.

Through open discussions, pointed interventions and concrete examples from beneficiary countries, attention will be drawn to the way public-private collaboration can leverage investment and support the technological and social innovations required to help sustainably transform the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

Date: Thursday, 22 October 2026
Time: 10:30- 12:00, followed by a light networking lunch
Venue: L-42, Rue de la Loi, Brussels

The event will be webcast. The link to follow live will be shared here soon.
