FAO at the Belgian SDG Forum

07/09/2023

On 19 October, this year’s edition of the Belgian SDG Forum will take place in Brussels.

It is the first multistakeholder forum dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030 in the Benelux. Initiated in 2018 by the Belgian government, the forum aims to connect as many sectors as possible to exchange related ideas and solutions.

With a keynote address by the FAO Brussels Director Raschad Al-Khafaji, a side event on “SDGs and the food-climate-biodiversity-environment nexus: global development and local implications” jointly organized with UN Environment Programme, and an information stand, FAO will participate this year with a strong message focusing on the centrality of agriculture and food production within the SDGs and the need to transform the agrifood systems, making them more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable.
