Join the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on 29 April 2025 for the second session of the global webinar series on sustainable forest-based bioeconomy approaches

Webinar speakers will explore diverse financial mechanisms—from innovative investment approaches to expanding climate finance and market-based solutions. Unlocking these opportunities will be key to building a resilient and thriving forest-based bioeconomy that balances economic growth with sustainability. 


The webinar will cover:

  • Finance-related challenges and opportunities to support the development of a forest-based bioeconomy, with a focus on the Global South. 
  • Financial mechanisms and instruments currently in use to leverage the benefits offered by the development of a sustainable forest-based bioeconomy. 
  • Approaches and strategies for enhancing financial access across regions and at different operational scales. 
This global webinar series is an integral part of the Country and Organization-Led Initiative on Sustainable Forest-based Bioeconomy Approaches (COLI) and is supported by the Federal Ministry, Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management, Republic of Austria, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland.
