Batte Charles Sseruyidde is the General Secretary for the Workers in the Informal Economy Network Uganda (WIENU) and the National Organizer for the Uganda Markets and Allied Employees Union (UMAEU). He has over a decade of experience in advocating for labor rights, particularly for informal workers in Uganda. Batte’s strong academic foundation includes a Postgraduate Degree in Finance, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, and a Certificate in Essentials of Sustainable Development and Laws from Cavendish University in collaboration with Cambridge University. His commitment to improving labor standards has made him a leading voice in worker empowerment and sustainable development.
