Cocoa Mangement Information System

Developed by ITU under the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, the system unifies real-time cocoa data in a single hub for planning, reporting, and advisories. Co-designed with the Cocoa Board and DICT, it reduces errors, informs decisions, and speeds support to farmers, businesses, and government.

Through a targeted capacity-building initiative, the EU-STREIT PNG Programme has strengthened government capabilities in digital data collection and monitoring. This effort, which includes training and providing digital equipment, helps agrifood public bodies move from paper to more efficient digital operations to better serve smallholder farmers.

EU-STREIT PNG strengthened fisheries services in Sepik by handing over ICT equipment to the East Sepik Division of Fisheries & Marine Resources in Wewak, with similar support rolling out to provincial and district offices across East and West Sepik to boost frontline service delivery.
Forty-two government officials, technical experts, private sector representatives, and development partners from across the country attended the Learning and Innovation Event organized by the EU-STREIT PNG Programme.
