Tina Savinio, a dedicated member and leader of the Kandangapma Women's Business Group in Papua New Guinea, has transformed their fish smoking business with innovative technology introduced by the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, significantly enhancing their livelihoods and community well-being.  

The EU-STREIT PNG Programme partners with the National Youth Development Authority (NYDA) and Provincial Community Development Units to capacitate youths, empowering them to amplify their voices at policy level, embrace agriculture as a viable profession, and enhance youth access to information and resources. 

Lesley Nala, an electrician living in Sawarin Village, is setting the path to transform his family's life by venturing into fish farming with support from the EU-STREIT PNG Programme. His success in fish farming has not only improved their diet and income but also inspired his community.

The EU-STREIT PNG Programme is enhancing local entrepreneurs' agribusiness management skills in the Sepik Region. A recent workshop trained 40 agripreneurs in business management and financial literacy, focusing on budgeting, saving, and professional business practices.

Supported by the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, Papua New Guinea's cocoa producers showcased their high-quality, ethically sourced beans at New Zealand's Chocstock festival, opening new market opportunities and highlighting sustainable growth.

Led by Fabian Homboku with support from the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, Huareheng village is being transformed through fish farming and vanilla cultivation, boosting income, improving nutrition, and empowering the community, inspiring neighbouring villages to follow their lead.
