Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino)

The Parlatino and the Mesoamerica Hunger Free program collaborate on various initiatives and projects, most notably the Parliamentary Knowledge Community, which consists of: (i) a catalog of regulatory instruments from different countries in the region that illustrates the regulatory framework for food security and nutrition and rural development, (ii) a catalog of research on the human right to adequate food, (iii) a catalog of tools for a hunger-free Mesoamerica, and (iv) a glossary of terms related to the fight against hunger. In addition, they have collaborated on collecting the experiences of female parliamentarians in the fight against hunger, as well as on the formulation and approval of the Model Law on Family Farming, the Model Law on Artisanal or Small-Scale Fishing, the Model Law on Community Water and Sanitation Systems, the Model Law on Climate Change and Food Security and Nutrition, the Model Law for the Prevention and Reduction of Food Loss and Waste, and the Model Law for the Promotion of Agroecology.

Mesoamerica Integration and Development Project

The Mesoamerica Hunger Free program contributes to the social axis of the Mesoamerica Project, specifically within the Food Security and Nutrition line of work. The program supports and reinforces actions in the areas of school feeding, family farming, food security and nutrition, strengthening of governance capacities, and communication strategy, among other topics.

Central American Integration System (SICA)

As a result of its work in Mesoamerican countries, the Mesoamerica Hunger Free program shares intervention areas with various organizations linked to the Central American Integration System, especially with the Secretariat for Central American Social Integration (SISCA) within the framework of the Regional Intersectoral Agenda on Social Protection and Productive Inclusion with Equity (ARIPSIP), and with the Executive Secretariat of the Central American Agricultural Council.

Hunger-Free Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative

The Support Project for the Hunger-Free Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative and Mesoamerica Hunger Free collaborate on capacity building for parliamentarians and parliamentary advisors, as well as on linking the parliamentary sphere with academia. This fruitful collaboration not only contributes to the generation of knowledge for decision-making but also to building consensus at the regional level on issues related to the fight against hunger, and to the formulation of more effective regulatory frameworks around food security and nutrition.

Parliamentary Front against Hunger in Latin America and the Caribbean (FPH-ALC)

Mesoamerica Hunger Free collaborates with the Parliamentary Front against Hunger in the different target countries, as well as at the subregional and regional levels. The program provides technical assistance to national and territorial chapters in the formulation and approval of regulatory instruments related to food security and nutrition and rural development. Furthermore, it facilitates the participation of the FPH-ALC in regional and global governance mechanisms related to food security and nutrition.

Ibero-American and Caribbean Parliamentary Alliance for Food Security

Mesoamerica Hunger Free has provided technical support to the Ibero-American and Caribbean Parliamentary Alliance since its creation, promoting capacity building for its members, the exchange of experiences and knowledge, and articulation with other bodies that contribute to the fight against hunger. The program helps drive the ratification and implementation of the "Food First" Pact (Pacto “Alimentación Primero”) as the primary instrument of the Alliance.
