「世界の食料安全保障と栄養の現状（SOFI）」は5つの国連機関（国連食糧農業機関（FAO）、国際農業開発基金（IFAD）、国連児童基金（UNICEF）、国連世界食糧計画（WFP）、世界保健機関（WHO））が共同で作成する主要な年次報告書です。本報告書では毎年、世界の飢餓の撲滅、食料安全保障の達成、栄養の改善に向けた進捗状況をモニタリング・分析しています。また、持続可能な開発のための2030アジェンダに掲げられたSDGsのターゲット2.1および2.2の達成に向けた、主要な課題について詳細に分析しています。

2025年版報告書のテーマは「食料安全保障と栄養のための高騰する食料価格インフレへの対応」です。本報告書では、2030年までに飢餓、食料不安、栄養不良をなくすという持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）2.1および2.2の達成に向けて、食料価格の上昇がもたらす課題を分析します。さらに、近年の食料インフレの要因や、それが食料安全保障や栄養に及ぼす影響、そしてこれらの影響を防ぎ、緩和するために必要な政策対応についても取り上げます。

2025年7月22日には、米国ニューヨークで開催される「持続可能な開発に関するハイレベル政治フォーラム（HLPF）」に合わせて、2025年本報告書に関する特別イベントが開催されました。さらに、7月28日には、エチオピア・アディスアベバで開催される「国連食料システムサミットのストックテイク会合（UNFSS+4）」にて、報告書全文が発表されました。日本では、8月1日にオンラインにて日英両言語での発表イベントを開催します。

The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2025 (SOFI 2025): Japan Launch

The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) is an annual flagship report jointly prepared by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Every year, it monitors and analyses the world’s progress towards ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition. It also provides in-depth analysis on key challenges for meeting SDG Targets 2.1 and 2.2 in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The theme of the 2025 edition is “Addressing high food price inflation for food security and nutrition”. The report will examine the challenges that rising food prices pose for achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2.1 and 2.2 targets of ending hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition by 2030. The report will also explore the drivers behind recent food inflation, its impact on food security and nutrition, and the policy responses necessary to prevent and mitigate these effects.

A Special Event dedicated to the report was held on the margins of the United Nations High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York, United States of America on 22 July. The report was officially launched during a Special Event at the Second UN Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 28 July. In Japan, a virtual launch event will take place on 1 August, with simultaneous interpretation in Japanese and English.
