Since 2007, Balipara Foundation has initiated experiments in ecological protection and restoration of the Eastern Himalayan Region through the concept of Naturenomics™. The Balipara Foundation is structured as a Conservation Incubator. We channel the efforts of multiple agencies by providing a common platform with expertise in: Project Resourcing, Research, Technology and Advocacy. This unique business model promotes collaboration and avoids duplication of efforts. We employ a Community Focused approach to conservation by centering our solution designs around Social Mobility and Long-term Sustainability. Balipara Foundation intends to contribute to the mission of Mountain Futures by restoring degraded habitats (forests and degraded grasslands) in the rural areas of Assam and generate livelihoods by engaging in activities that enhance forest cover and organic agriculture – thus promoting sustainable development and socio-economic mobility. Through the proprietary concept, NaturenomicsTM, we intend to divulge our knowledge of re-building futures in rural areas and allowing our efforts on Habitat Mapping, Planning and Restoration, Research, Innovation and Application to reach the target audience.
