Legambiente is a non-profit Italian association founded in 1980, dedicated to the protection and sustainable management of the environment. It promotes sustainable lifestyles, production systems and resource use. Legambiente is the largest environmental organization in Italy, with over 115 000 members and more than 2 million people engaged in its volunteer activities and campaigns. Its work is carried out through a network of 1 000 local groups, coordinated by 18 regional committees and a national headquarters in Rome.
