Mountain Hazelnuts is a social enterprise producing premium-quality hazelnuts in Bhutan. Established through a public-private-community partnership with the Royal Government of Bhutan, the company provides hazelnut trees, agricultural inputs and technical assistance to support smallholder farmers. Once the hazelnuts reach maturity, the company purchases them from partner growers and processes them for international export. This practice not only prevents deforestation but also promotes reforestation, enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem stability.
