Switch ON - ONergy is a hybrid social enterprise. Switch On is the not-for-profit wing while ONergy is the for-profit wing. Established in 2008/2009, the organization has been working with the base of the pyramid to remove obstacles to energy access, through clean energy products and solutions. Also active in climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives, Swith ON - ONergy was awarded the SEED Low Carbon Award2014. It works closely with the Swedish International Development Authority, German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and other development agencies to fulfill its objectives.
