I have the honour to draw attention to Resolution 10/2023, through which the Governing Body, among other matters, requested me to develop the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the Capacity Development Strategy, under the guidance of the Bureau and in consultation with Contracting Parties as well as relevant stakeholders, clarifying what actions the Secretariat is expected to undertake according to the applicable guiding principles.

The Secretariat is pleased to offer support for assigning Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA). Assigning DOIs helps to identify what PGRFA are available in the Multilateral System (MLS), alongside other relevant non-confidential characterization and evaluation data.
