| Introduction | Establishing a land data ecosystem, bringing together formal and complementary data sources, to better document the state of land tenure and increase policy uptake with regards responsible land governance. It extracts insights and acts as a reference point for land tenure and governance aspects under global fora such as the Sustainable Development Goals and the Rio Conventions, while also highlighting community led complementary data to offer a more comprehensive picture of the status quo. |

Establishing a land data ecosystem, bringing together formal and complementary data sources, to better document the state of land tenure and increase policy uptake with regards responsible land governance. More specifically, GLO i) Brings together land data generation/monitoring initiatives and makes them visible and usable; ii) Documents and strengthens analyses on the status-quo and trends with regards to land tenure and land rights/governance; iii) Undertakes policy research and provides evidence on relevance of responsible governance of tenure to promote food security, reduce inequality and enhance the sustainability of agri-food systems in the long term. |
