The SOLA Suite provides free and open-source tools supporting responsible governance of tenure through transparent, inclusive and fit-for-purpose land administration and community-based tenure recording systems and methodologies. It combines solutions for formal land administration and participatory community tenure recording, helping governments, communities and organizations document, validate and strengthen individual, collective and customary tenure rights, including Indigenous Peoples’ territories and community-managed lands.
Free, open-source solutions to protect and strengthen tenure rights
The SOLA Suite is built on open-source and interoperable technologies and is compliant with the Land Administration Domain Model (LADM – ISO 19152), including extensions aligned with the Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM). The suite supports locally adaptable, participatory, fit-for-purpose and community-based tenure recording and land administration processes aligned with the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT).
