The National Scientific Centre Institute of Agrarian Economics (Національний науковий центр Інститут аграрної економіки) was established in accordance with Resolution No. 524 of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR on May 10, 1956, under the name Ukrainian Research Institute of Economics and Organization of Agriculture (UNGIEOSG). Initially, the newly created institution was tasked with serving as a scientific center for addressing the most pressing issues in the agrarian economy and implementing research results in the agricultural production of the Ukrainian SSR. At the same time, the institute was expected to provide methodological support to agricultural economists in various agrarian research institutions and higher education institutions, assisting them in conducting research in the field of agricultural economics and organization, as well as in training scientific personnel.
