The Colombian Maritime Authority (Dirección General Marítima – DIMAR) is a government agency responsible for the regulation, supervision, and control of maritime, fluvial, and port activities in Colombia. It oversees maritime safety, navigation, search and rescue operations, environmental protection of marine and coastal areas, and compliance with national and international maritime regulations. DIMAR also supports scientific research, maritime development, and the sustainable use of Colombia’s water resources.
