The Alexander von Humboldt Biological Resources Research Institute (Instituto de Investigación de Recursos Biológicos Alexander von Humboldt – IAvH) is a Colombian government research institute focused on the study, conservation, and sustainable management of the country’s biodiversity. It conducts scientific research on ecosystems, species, and genetic resources, provides technical and policy advice to the government, and promotes knowledge dissemination, environmental education, and sustainable development initiatives across Colombia.
