The Instituto Mixto de Investigación en Biodiversidad (IMIB) is a joint institute formed by researchers from the University of Oviedo, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Principality of Asturias. IMIB investigates how environmental changes caused by human activities affect biodiversity, the ecological and evolutionary processes that underlie its origin and maintenance, and the ecosystem processes and services essential to our existence and well-being.
