Agrarian Scientific Center Donskoy (ASC Donskoy)

The Agrarian Scientific Center Donskoy (Аграрный научный центр Донской) is a subordinate institution of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Its history dates back to 1930, when the North-Caucasus Zonal Grain Experimental Station was established by a decree of the USSR Government. On February 3, 2017, according to Order No. 458 of the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations (FANO) of Russia, the Kalinenko All-Russian Research Institute of Grain (VNIIZK) was reorganized by merging with several institutions, and on February 22, 2017, it was renamed the Agrarian Scientific Center Donskoy. The Center conducts fundamental and priority research to advance and improve the efficiency of Russia’s agro-industrial complex and has played a significant role in the development of agriculture not only in the Don region but across Russia.
