Las universidades africanas se fortalecen para moldear el futuro de la seguridad alimentaria y la agricultura
Hoy día la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) y el Foro regional de universidades para el fortalecimiento de las capacidades en agricultura (RUFORUM) firmaron un Memorando de Entendimiento (MdE) comprometiéndose a trabajar en conjunto para fortalecer las capacidades de las universidades miembros de RUFORUM para que puedan contribuir a los temas de seguridad alimentaria y nutrición, sostenibilidad de sistemas agrícolas, reducción de la pobreza rural y el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODSs) en África. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FAO and Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy marked a major step in achieving synergic effect of promoting FAO agenda in the country through active engagement with its leading academic institutions. FAO and the Pan-African Parliament launch capacity reinforcement initiative for legislators
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Pan-African Parliament have launched a partnership to improve legislation of food and nutrition security issues in Africa. The two -year project aims at enhancing the technical capacities of the Pan-African Parliament and the Pan-African Parliamentary Alliance on Food Security and Nutrition (PAPA-FSN).
