20.09.2018
 Rome time

Every day large quantities of wholesome edible food are discarded from household kitchens and dining establishments. Consumers, in particular children and young people, can play an important role in reducing food waste. FAO is pleased to present a new educational package “Do Good – Save Food”, a series of teaching manuals for children of different age groups.

This series was developed in collaboration with the International Food Waste Coalition (IFWC). The event will be opened by Mr Kostas Stamoulis, Assistant Director-General, Economic and Social Development Department, FAO, and closed by Ms Marcela Villarreal, Director, Partnerships and South-South Cooperation Division, FAO.
