The 2014 World Food Day theme Family Farming: "Feeding the world, caring for the earth" focuses on the significant role of family farming in eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition and achieving sustainable development. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and John Kufuor, Former President of the Republic of Ghana, are the keynote speakers.
