2020 IPPC Regional Workshop for Europe and Central Asia

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) is an intergovernmental treaty signed by over 180 countries, which aims to protect the world's plant resources from the spread and introduction of pests, and promote safe trade. The IPPC Regional Workshops help participants understand the regional phytosanitary realities and challenges, and better integrate these realities into the IPPC work plan.
For 2020, the IPPC Regional Workshops will focus on raising awareness of regional plant health issues and highlight ongoing or future regional initiatives to leave a lasting impact of the International Year on Plant Health beyond 2020.
