National Seminar "The first experience of collecting data on the agricultural census in the framework of the population census in the Republic of Belarus"

Belarus intends to conduct an agricultural census jointly with the population census in October 2019. As part of FAO’s technical support to the Republic of Belarus, within the agreed FAO Country Programming Framework, a workshop will be organised to study international best practices in conducting an agricultural census in conjunction with a population census.

The workshop will also cover communication strategies to raise awareness and participation in surveys. Experts from FAO will present an approach to integrating population and agriculture censuses, outlining the principles of the 2020 World Food Census Programme. National experts will share details of the main methodological approaches to collecting data on the agricultural census in the framework of the population census in the Republic of Belarus.
