Private sector consultation

On 28 April, prior to the Thirty-third Session of the Regional Conference for Europe, FAO convenes key actors of the private sector to discuss current and fundamental issues of sustainable food and agriculture in the region. Participants will be encouraged to establish partnerships, especially in the light of the current crisis and challenges.
Including the private sector into the dialogue centering around agrifood system transformation, is gaining more importance considering that the sector has been widely recognized as a fully-fledged partner in driving sustainable development in a progressive manner. This is underlined by the FAO Strategy on private sector engagement that was adopted wo years ago and which, since then, has yielded positive results and impact.
