Regional workshop on International agricultural trade: transnational rules, phytosanitary procedures, obligations of contracting parties

The event is orgenized within the regional Project TCP/RER/3503: Strengthening capacities of the national phytosanitary control services.
The workshop foresees the participation of four IPPC contact points and National Project coordinators from Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, and it is aimed at strengthening implementation of IPPC standards and review national phytosanitary legislation for consistency with the IPPC and the WTO SPS Agreement. The workshop participants will review and discuss certification, verification, inspection and contemporary phytosanitary practices and general safeguarding measures at points of entry.In addition , countries will be exploring implications of new development contexts for promoting electronic documentation - the basic concepts, benefits, tasks and solutions.
