World Programme for the Census of Agriculture 2020

The webinar’s goal is to inform FAO members in Europe and Central Asia about the Operational Guidelines (Volume 2) that complements the World Programme for the Census of Agriculture 2020 covering the period of 2016–2025. The guidelines support the implementation of the agricultural census in all stage, from the design and planning, fieldwork operations, to processing, analysis, and dissemination of census results. The webinar will allow participants a deeper understanding of the main stages involved in the preparation and implementation of the agricultural census.
Targeting professional statisticians from Europe and Central Asia, the webinar will be conducted in English and Russian languages (with simultaneous interpretation).
The webinar will include relevant technical presentations by FAO and country representatives on topics related to the Operational Guidelines. Country presentations are expected to highlight national experiences and issues based on the last or ongoing census, plans/status of conducting agricultural census under the WCA 2020 round, and analyze potential changes to improve census implementation and cost-efficiency.
