Assessing conditions to scale up private investment in forest restoration

Published in the Journal of Forest Business Research, this research paper found that forest restoration in low- and middle-income countries faces significant investment challenges, as only a limited portion of degraded forestland meets conditions for private investment. To scale up restoration, strong public-sector support and targeted policy interventions are needed to improve investment conditions.
