The Government of the Philippines hosted the Second Global Symposium on Farmers’ Rights (GSFR-2) in Manila from 16 to 19 September 2025, convening more than 250 participants from 44 countries and an additional 8 000 following online.

Partners from around the around the world gathered at FAO Headquarter in Rome today to announce an exciting new initiative aimed at protecting edible biodiversity for future generations: the Global Conservation Consortium for Food Plants (GCCFP).

In 2025, France notified the Secretariat of the International Treaty of 444 accessions listed in Annex 1 that are available in the Multilateral System, as indicated in the document, and that belong to the French national collection. That is, in addition to the PGRFA material included in the previous list received in 2022, which included 956 accessions, the document also includes the following.
