StrategyMedFor Final Event

The Secretariat of the Committee on Mediterranean Forestry Questions -  Silva Mediterranea and the StrategyMedFor partnership are pleased to announce the StrategyMedFor Project Final Event, which will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 at FAO headquarters in Rome. 

The StrategyMedFor project (2024-2026) has developed a Mediterranean-specific vision for the sustainable management and resilience of forests under future climate scenarios, contributing to forest  conservation and restoration efforts across the region. 

 The event will bring together project partners, Mediterranean countries and stakeholders to present the project’s main outcomes, innovative tools and pilot actions. These results aim to support forest assessment, restoration planning and decision-making at national and transboundary levels.  

The event will also provide an opportunity to reinforce synergies with FAO’s ongoing work in the Mediterranean region.
