Regional Training on the “Fish Genetics Resources-Practical Training on Molecular Methods”

The Secretariat of the Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Commission (CACFish) is organizing a regional training on the “Fish Genetics Resources-Practical Training on Molecular Methods” to be held in Trabzon, Turkey.

This capacity-building activity was approved during the Sixth Session of CACFish meeting in Izmir last October.

The purpose of this regional training is to increase knowledge about fish genetic resources and provide practical applications for Central Asian and Caucasus region on the topic at the molecular level: “Practical Training on Molecular Methods”.

Over a dozen participants from both Member (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey) and Observer States of the Commission (Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Russian Federation, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) will be attending to the training which is organized in partnership with the Trabzon Central Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Institute (SUMAE) of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
