The 1st Technical Workshop Series on the “Support to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in SDGs’ Harmonization and Implementation” Project

The first workshop series of the ‘Support to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in SDGs’ Harmonization and Implementation” project (TCP TUR 3604 C1) launched last October, will kick-off with an ‘SDG Awareness Raising Workshop” on 05 March 2019.
Following the opening workshop, there will be a three day technical workshops for ‘Capacity Building –on SDG Indicators under FAO Custodianship’ to help the stakeholders involved in the nationalization process of SDGs to better understand the SDG indicators under FAO custodianship, including FAO’s role on SDG monitoring and implementation, the methodology of each indicator, the data requirements for producing the indicators and the steps to be taken to satisfy these requirements.
The stakeholders, in particular, include representatives from Turkish Statistical Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey, and professionals from other relevant state and non-state agencies.
