Training on food composition data

On 9 October 2026, FAO will hold a training on food composition data in Bishkek. The training is designed for national institutions and specialists who generate and hold food composition data.

Participants will strengthen their knowledge of internationally recognized approaches to collecting, compiling, documenting and checking the quality of food composition data, and will discuss how these data can be better shared and used at national level.

Reliable and up-to-date food composition data are an essential basis for assessing diets, developing evidence-based nutrition policies and national dietary guidelines, and supporting healthier and more sustainable food systems in Kyrgyzstan.
