As a regional fisheries management organization, the GFCM receives, reviews and manages a wide range of data on Mediterranean and Black Sea resources.

These databases provide, as a complement to the data submitted through the main official data reporting mechanisms (DCRF and SIPAM), additional information underpinning the implementation of GFCM workplans, the formulation of scientific advice, and in support to science-based decision-making.
