Enhancing transparency in aquatic food trade: new FAO GLOBEFISH HS tables

FAO GLOBEFISH introduces user‑friendly, species‑specific Harmonized System (HS) tables to improve the use of HS codes and support aquatic food trade analysis.

Based on the 2022 nomenclature, the tables are available for download on each species page.

GLOBEFISH | Quarterly Shrimp analysis - May 2025

Global shrimp imports dropped by 1.6 percent in volume and 5.9 percent in value in 2024. The combined share of China and the United States of America in this trade declined marginally from 49 percent in 2023 to 48 percent in 2024, equivalent to 100 000 tonnes of shrimp.
