Título Enhancing resilience and empowerment in communities at risk of climate-induced migration
Presentación Leveraging funding from the FAO Flexible Voluntary Contribution mechanism, the project seeks to enhance climate resilience and adaptive capacity in rural areas of Nepal and Uganda, targeting communities at high risk of climate-induced migration. It operates through an innovative approach that intersects migration, food security and climate change, leveraging diaspora contributions for climate action and FAO's technical expertise in rural livelihoods and climate adaptation.

Título Green Jobs for Rural Youth Employment (GJ4RYE)
Presentación To support the shift towards agricultural practices that contribute to sustainability and improved livelihoods in Sierra Leone, Timor Leste and Zimbabwe, FAO and KOICA have launched the Green Jobs for Rural Youth Employment (GJ4RYE) project. The objective of the project is to promote tangible, green employment opportunities through green entrepreneurship and wage-employment programmes.

Título CLEAR Supply Chains
Presentación The initiative aims to help eliminate child labour in the coffee supply chain and leverage existing efforts in the minerals supply chain, particularly in cobalt production. The action will be implemented in Honduras, Uganda, and Viet Nam, which are among the largest exporters of coffee to the European Union, and in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the world's leading producer of cobalt.

Título Addressing challenges and opportunities at the heart of the climate change, migration, and rural livelihoods nexus
Presentación Rural areas are at higher risk of climate-induced migration, as is the case for Zimbabwe and other countries in Southern Africa. Through this project, FAO contributed to addressing the policy and programmatic gap, generating knowledge and strengthening capacities to ultimately address the root causes of climate-induced mobility while harnessing the contribution of migration as adaptation.

Título Reducing distress migration through local value chain development
Presentación The project, funded by the Government of Italy, addressed the adverse drivers of youth rural out-migration in Kenya by generating decent employment opportunities for young people along sustainable agricultural and food value chains. It also sought to foster policy coherence across the areas of agriculture, rural development and migration through awareness-raising and capacity-building activities.

Título Enhancing the resilience to climate change of migrants and vulnerable households in India
Presentación In India, in recent years, record high temperatures and volatile cycles of drought and flooding have destabilized crops, putting millions at risk. Many are compelled to leave rural areas in search of better opportunities. To address these issues, it is imperative to ensure that migration is a well-informed decision that benefits everyone involved. This means developing livelihood strategies for those who choose to stay, those on the move, and those returning to their rural roots.
