As part of the preparation for the 6th World Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour (6GCCL) that Morocco will host in February 2026, FAO Morocco organized a session on Wednesday at the Tour Hassan Hotel for awareness-raising and sharing of good practices entitled "Mobilizing stakeholders for the implementation of Roadmap 8.7 for the agricultural sector"

On World Food Day, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) launched a new Policy guidance on the elimination of child labour in fisheries and aquaculture.

In the mountainous district of Jumla, farming has long been the main source of livelihood. For generations families have cultivated apples, Jumla's best-known crop, alongside indigenous pulses and vegetables that sustain their diets and tradition. However, in recent years the impacts of climate change have become more visible. Rainfall has become unpredictable, snowfall that once kept the soil moisture for weeks is decreasing and landslides are more frequent, damaging crops and making life difficult for those who remain.

The event featured presentations from key government ministries, showcasing opportunities and services available for the diaspora to invest in different sectors. Additionally, financial institutions, including the Bank of Uganda and commercial banks, discussed financing options for diaspora investments.
