The planning workshop for the Integrated Country Approach for boosting decent jobs for youth in agrifood systems (ICA-4) project, focusing on Vietnam's rice sector, was held on February 5–6, 2026 in Can Tho City. It served as a consultative platform where feedback from a wide range of national stakeholders was gathered to help refine the strategic direction of the project.

Climate change is increasingly undermining rural livelihoods across Uganda, with Isingiro District among the most affected areas. In the District, the declining agricultural productivity has contributed to rising levels of out-migration, particularly among youth and smallholder farmers.

From 29 to 31 October 2025, Rwanda hosted the 21st Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme Partnership Platform (CAADP-PP) under the theme “From Malabo to Kampala: Accelerating Just, Resilient Agrifood Systems Transformation for Nutrition and Sustainable Growth”.

On World Food Day, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) launched a new Policy guidance on the elimination of child labour in fisheries and aquaculture.
