Self-evaluation and Holistic Assessment of Climate Resilience of Farmers and Pastoralist (SHARP+)

Energy conservation practices

This module examines the energy conservation practices implemented by the household as well as practices used to reduce harmful fumes.

Contribution to resilience

Implementing energy conservation practices, such as the use of improved cookstoves or efficient technologies, contributes to the resilience of farm households by reducing their energy consumption and their dependence on sometimes unstable public systems. By limiting pressure on natural resources, these practices support the sustainability of ecosystems while reducing emissions and indoor air pollution. They thus improve both the health of household members and the environmental performance of the agricultural system.
