Submission of national reports on measures taken to implement obligations under the International Treaty – Compliance

The purpose of this notification is to remind Contracting Parties of their obligation to submit national reports on measures taken for the implementation of the International Treaty under the Compliance Procedures.
The Governing Body approved, at its Fourth Session, the Compliance Procedures that include, amongst others, provisions on monitoring and reporting (Resolution 2/2011) pursuant to Article 21 of the International Treaty. According to the Compliance Procedures, each Contracting Party is to submit to the Compliance Committee, through the Secretary, a report on the measures it has taken to implement its obligations under the International Treaty in one of the six languages of the United Nations (Section V.1 of the Compliance Procedures). The first such report was due in October 2016.
