The FLRM supports Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) at all levels by providing direct and normative assistance through innovative financing, resource mobilisation, monitoring, targeted communications and knowledge management. All activities are designed to advance FLR efforts in close collaboration with partner institutions engaged in regional and global restoration initiatives.
To further its FLR objectives, the FLRM has worked with several countries to:
- strengthen governance, institutions, and enabling environments for restoration;
- develop national FLR plans;
- secure sustainable financing for FLR activities; and
- pilot innovative models to support on-the-ground restoration efforts.
