Food security and population health are at the heart of Russia’s social policy, enabling it to share experience and best practices with other countries. That was the statement made by Oleg Kobiakov, Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Liaison Office with the Russian Federation, on the occasion of the World Food Day (WFD) celebrated on 16 October, during the press conference at TASS news agency.

Rome – The benchmark for world food commodity prices saw its fastest increase in 18 months in September, with quotations up for all covered commodity groups, led by sugar, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) reported Friday.

On 12 August, the 9th Congress of Dokuchaev Soil Society opened in Kazan. Oleg Kobiakov, Director of FAO Moscow Office, delivered his welcoming remarks to the hosts and participants in the meeting.
