粮食和农业植物遗传资源国际条约

条约第17条指出,粮农组织所有成员和不是粮农组织成员但是联合国或其他专门机构成员或国际原子能机构成员的任何国家均可加入本《条约》。该条约于2004年6月29日开始生效。可通过粮农组织法律办公室的网站咨询有关缔约各方的信息以及文件的使用类型和日期。

Contracting Parties to the Treaty

Under Article 26, the Treaty is subject to ratification, acceptance or approval by the Members and non-Members of FAO referred to in Article 25. Instruments of ratification, acceptance, or approval are deposited with the Director-General of FAO.

Under Article 27, the Treaty is open for accession by all Members of FAO and any States that are not Members of FAO but are Members of the United Nations, or any of its specialized agencies or of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The Treaty entered into force the 29 June 2004. The current number of Contracting Parties as well as the type of instrument used and the date can be consulted in the Legal Office of FAO.

The Secretary of the International Treaty encourages and supports non-Contracting Parties to consider ratifying or acceding to this instrument. The support includes the provision of technical information, reports and other actions upon request.  Governments can contact the Secretary at [email protected]

The National Focal Points

Contracting Parties are invited to nominate a national focal point to whom important correspondence would be addressed. The contact information for the focal points (name, title, mail address, e-mail, and telephone numbers) can be sent to the Secretary of the International Treaty at any given time through official communication channels with copy to [email protected]. The focal point can be an individual or an office. This information will be posted online. Additionally, one or more email addresses of officials of the same or other national organization can be provided for the correspondence.
