The national Codex programme
National Codex consultative mechanism
Codex positions are discussed in regular national stakeholder meetings involving ministries, the NVWA, industry, consumer organizations and scientific institutes. These positions are then coordinated within the EU and represented in Codex meetings. Reports and summaries are published on the national Codex website.
Providers of scientific and technical input to national consultation on Codex
Dutch scientific experts participate in JECFA, JMPR and other meetings. Technical support assessing draft standards is provided by technical experts of the stakeholders.
Wageningen Food Safety Research (WFSR) as an active institution.
EFSA advises for EU matters, while nationally, the NVWA Risk Assessment Office, RIVM and WFSR are involved.
Risk Assessments and Scientific Data

For EU-related issues, major advice is provided by EFSA and the EU Community Reference Laboratories.
On a national level, risk assessments and scientific advice is provided by various organisations, including the Office for Risk Assessment of the NVWA, National Institute for Public Health, and RIKILT Laboratories.
