2019冠状病毒病(COVID-19)

2019年12月31日,首次向世卫组织驻华代表处报告了在中国武汉发现的一批不明原因肺炎病例。随后的暴发很快被确认是由一种新型冠状病毒引起的。2020年1月13日报告了中国境外的第一例病例;2020年1月30日,该疫情被宣布为国际关注的突发公共卫生事件。2020年2月11日,世卫组织宣布了新型冠状病毒疾病的名称:2019冠状病毒病(COVID-19)。世卫组织在3月11日表示,他们已经做出评估,COVID-19可定性为大流行病。

全球贸易

全球粮食供应链也面临着压力,人们担心,涉及农民、屠宰场、食品加工厂、运输、零售商和其他方面复杂的相互作用,会由于漫长食品链上的工人患COVID-19疾病,造成港口关闭或物流和/或粮食供应中断而放缓。

确保食品安全

COVID-19是一种呼吸道疾病,主要通过人与人之间的接触以及直接接触感染者咳嗽或打喷嚏时产生的呼吸道飞沫传播。迄今为止,没有证据表明导致呼吸道疾病的病毒通过食品或食品包装传播。冠状病毒不能在食物中繁殖;它们需要动物或人类宿主来繁殖。人们从食品或食品包装中感染COVID-19的可能性极小。 环境卫生、个人卫生和食品卫生既定做法等良好原则的应用,将降低有害微生物威胁食品供应安全的可能性,无论食品来自集约型农业、小农户还是野生环境。

食品法典在COVID-19疫情中的作用

食品法典委员会制定了若干国际最佳规范,以确保总体食品卫生以及处理肉类和其他食品时的卫生,同时控制食品中的病毒。鼓励各国实施这些最佳规范。

风险为中心、以科学为基础的国际法典文本为全球食品贸易中的食品安全设定了准。法典文本为透明、基于规则的贸易环境中食品安全的广泛管理原则提供了框架,并为日益复杂的国际贸易体系中的从业者降低了风险,同时确保消费者健康得到保护

Regional workshop in Asia strengthening capacity for enhanced participation in Codex

Uganda officially takes over from Kenya as the new coordinator for Codex in Africa

Codex Trust Fund Nepal / simulation exercise building experience and great fun too
