拉美加协调委员会区域:区域协调员厄瓜多爾

1976 年,由第十届食品法典委员会于 1974 年设立的拉丁美洲协调委员会在罗马举行了第一次会议,该地区的八个国家出席了会议。在该委员会第三届会议上,有人提议将委员会的名称更改为目前的形式(拉丁美洲和加勒比地区协调委员会),因为这样可以更好地反映该地区的成员组成。代表食品法典委员会行事的执行委员会在 1984 年的第 31 届会议上同意了这一变更。

拉丁美洲和加勒比地区是全球粮食生产和贸易的重要参与者。该地区生产足够的粮食自给自足和出口,该地区的水和土地资源可以生产更多的粮食。

该地区拥有巨大的自然财富、蓬勃发展的农业和对其人口至关重要的家庭农业部门。必须在所有地区继续促进和加强食品安全,以保障消费者的健康和公平公正的贸易。

厄瓜多尔担任协调员,协调员设在附属于农业和畜牧业部的机构 AGROCALIDAD。协调员的目标是在该地区的各国之间建立协同作用,相互支持以解决地区性问题,并研究应对共同挑战的解决方案。

协调员的进一步目标是增进各国之间的合作,加强发展中国家对食品法典委员会及其附属机构的参与。

Members and Observers from over 30 countries will meet in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico from 7 to 11 October 2019 to develop standards at the 21st session of the Codex Committee on Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (CCFFV). Nicaragua celebrates first World Food Safety Day

To celebrate World Food Safety Day, Nicaragua has been promoting an initiative to increase the visibility of food safety and its importance, through the creation of murals in health centers of 153 municipalities nationwide. Chile: the importance of Codex Alimentarius in food production and trade.

The Chilean Codex Alimentarius Secretariat, ACHIPIA, organized a seminar on 5 June 2019 entitled “Codex Alimentarius: Strengthening food safety in trade”. Codex Members deliberate priorities for Latin America and Caribbean in 2020-2025

Guyana ups its Codex game
